Kilmore Quay Community Development Association CLG is a registered charity and is supported by Pobal under the Community Services Programme. We now invite applications for the position of Manager. Kilmore Quay Community Development Association (KQCDA) CLG promotes and co-ordinates community, cultural, economic, educational and tourism activities in the heritage village of Kilmore Quay, Co Wexford and its immediate environs. Operating from the Stella Maris Centre, the Association houses a vibrant Coffee Shop, Meals on Wheels Service, Meeting Rooms/Conference Rooms and other facilities. The Centre is also a hub for sports, creative and social activities which is used by many local organisations. Outdoor attractions include the Ballyteigue Burrow which is part of Wexford Walking Trails and of international conservation importance, the Memorial Garden to those Lost at Sea, the traditional Thatched Cottages and picturesque Fishing harbour. Our Kilmore Quay Seafood and Write by the Sea Literary Festivals are highly successful tourist attractions. We are now seeking to appoint a dynamic Manager to work with the Directors and committee of KQCDA CLG through the next phase of development of an expanding social enterprise.
Key Responsibilities of the post
• Strategic Development & Leadership including experience of staff management.
• Financial Management & Governance
• Stakeholder Management & External Engagement including experience of community engagement.
• Operational Management & Administration
The successful candidate must have:
• At least 3 years’ Management experience (Community, Voluntary or Local Development Sector is desirable)
• A relevant Third Level qualification would be an advantage.
• Familiarity with governance and legislation requirements for the charity sector.
• Excellent grasp of financial reporting processes.
• Demonstrated track record of effective change management and project management skills.
